“Heat Tracing (or Trace Heating, or Surface Heating) is the method of applying heat to a body, or to a product (liquid, powder, or gas) contained within a system (pipework, vessel or equipment) for storage or transportation, in order to avoid processing problems or difficulties.†Heat Tracing is usually provided to maintain a product or equipment at a temperature that will prevent processing problems.
An electric heat tracing system often comprises:-
Heating cable(s) together with termination components - ancillary items such as junction boxes and fixing materials - temperature control devices (sometimes / optional) - monitoring / alarm facilities (sometimes / optional) - power distribution / circuit protection facilities
Highest range of heat tracing cables with highest output and highest withstand temperature. The heat tracers are having international approvals by FM, ATEX,IEC Ex, CSA,EAC for use in classified hazardous areas. Available with/without braiding, with/without outer jacket, with aluminum outer jacket for high exposure temperature.
Self Regulating Heating Cables
Semi conductive parallel resistance heating cables mainly foruse in freeze protection or temperature maintenance applications. For use up to 300°C (572°F). We have self-regulating heating cables within the following ranges:
- 12 - 1000 Volts
- Up to 300°C (572°F) withstand temperature
- Up to 120 W/m of output
Constant Wattage Heating Cables
Constant Wattage heating cables (zonal heating cables) can be conveniently cut-to-length, but are less popular than self regulating heating cables, because they often require thermostatic control to ensure temperature safety.
We have constant wattage heating cables within the following ranges:
- 12 - 1000 Volts
- Up to 425°C (797°F) withstand temperature
- Up to 200 W/m of output
Series Resistance (Longline) Heating Cables
Series Resistance heating cables have to be individually designed into particular length and load configurations and so are not as versatile as parallel cables.We have series resistance heating cables within the following ranges:
- Up to 1000 Volts 3 phase
- Up to 230°C (446°F) withstand temperature
- Up to 60 W/m of output
